Customs & Taxes Policy

Since your order ships internationally from India, your country may occasionally apply a small customs duty or tax when it arrives. Here’s what to expect, so there are no surprises at your doorstep.

Who decides the duty

Any customs duty is determined by the customs authority in your country, not by CartClue. Where a charge applies, it is paid by you — either on delivery or at your local customs office.

Local VAT or sales tax

If your region levies VAT or a similar import tax, that amount is also payable by you at the time of delivery.

Duty & tax are not shipping charges

Please don’t confuse customs duty or VAT with shipping fees — they’re entirely different things. Your shipping is already covered by us. Duties and taxes are levied by your government on imported goods and sit outside the price you paid us.

Check before you order

Import rules and thresholds differ from country to country. We recommend confirming the likely customs duty or tax for your destination — and that the items may be lawfully imported — before placing your order.
